One of the cheaper options, the third cheapest to be precise, in #Qatar for #FifaWorldCup, is $5500 for a week

We spent half that in #SouthAfrica, #Brazil & #Russia for 3 weeks each

Also only one portal to access acco, no hotel sites etc

Unlike any of the previous 6 #WorldCup I've attended, this is by far the most painful, most expensive one already

The govt needs to step in to provide more, cheaper accommodation options right away

Also, the sites aren't functioning well

We got tickets in the morning but neither the Hayya site or the Accommodation site recognise the ticket application or the individual ticket numbers yet

In #Russia it was nearly instantaneously updated

Finally apartment options don't mention public transport links 😳

Btw, the option I thought was cheaper turned out to be more expensive

For the 4 of us staying in a tiny cramped interior room, the govt of #Qatar & @MSC_Cruises_UK are charging $6000 for a week

They don't charge that much during peak season 😳 @QatarEmb_London @FIFAcom @qatar

In the interest of the sanity of the football fans booking tickets etc and out of concern for their rapidly diminishing wallets, can you pls state whether you expect more, cheaper acco options to come up shortly?
