Under the @bcndp BC’s #oilandgas subsidies have gone up year over year.

The IPCC report authors stated that worldwide emissions must peak within 3 years to stave off the worst impacts. Failing to do so would lead to dangerous heat waves, massive storms, and widespread water shortages. 4/ #bcpoli #ClimateEmergency

In B.C, we have a disturbing pattern of successive provincial governments that fail to understand what it means to plan for the future. 6/ #bcpoli #ClimateEmergency

Whether it’s failing to invest in preventative health care, failing to invest in infrastructure that makes us resilient to extreme weather or failing to stop expanding the fossil fuel industry, they are leaving us vulnerable in the face of crises. 7/ #bcpoli #ClimateEmergency
