5/13 This is due to the fact that they are not regarded as "legitimate." #Ukraine's case is a diametrically opposed example, because the international community has de facto recognised the existence of the so-called "republics" by including #Donbas separatists from in the TGC.
6/13 That was a major blunder, in my opinion, though in a good-faith, in an attempt (I hope) to resolve a difficult situation. A failed attempt that should serve as a lesson. This same abstraction should be applied in approaching #Putin about the situation in #Ukraine.
7/13 In other words, if we consider the principle that human nature and our relationships in society are reflected in States, and then in the relationships between them, we can infer that the relationships between States are reflected in the world order, in a pyramidal structure.
