1. Schools and parents communicate at increasing frequency, intensity and number of issues.
I believe this is harming both and kids.

2. Parents don't need to know everything that happens in school unless it crosses certain threshold that is decided by school.

3. Creating WhatsApp groups of parents is like planting a nuclear device on short fuse.
I can't see a single sensible use of such groups.

4. Holding parents responsible for everything troublesome with child is as uninformed as holding school responsible for everything.

5. Sickness in teachers increases around parent teacher meetings. PTMs are a waste of time 4 all. Answering same question 30times is torture

6. Parents should be invited to school only in rare case when a co.prehensive discussion is needed.
PTMs are largely PR exercise.

7. PTMs are hated by most parents and teachers alike. And actually by kids too.
Email communication is another evil.

8. Parents and school should be able to sit together for discussions. Emails are just "documentation" exercises that make everyone guarded.

9. Inviting relatives, grandparents, festivals, all happens in school.
another waste. Family can preserve culture and celebrate the.selves

9. Schools are encroaching on all aspects of family life at the cost of quality of education.
If there is so much extra time available,..

10. Why not spend it in slow paced exploratory education, sports and life skill building that can happen only at school?

11. If all free time is going to be taken up by school activities, homework and school diktats, send kids home only for bed and breakfast?

12. All schools now run 8am-4pm (i clouding transport) this serves working parents best. No other childcare is needed.

13. If keeping kids safe and gadget free is needed so that adults can work whole day, then boarding schools are much better option!

14. Only way to survive this damaging education pattern is by downplaying formal education, school and letting kids take day off regularly.

15. Taking commercialised school education seriously is the worst you can do for your kids and family. "Trophy" schools are best avoided.

16. You can't change system as one parent but you can limit damage by showing middle finger to this phony thing called "formal education"
