ALL THE CELEBRITIES WHO TOLD ME THEY LIKED MY HAIR IN 2011

and what they've been up to since:
Darren Hayes. The original, this TECHNICALLY happened in 2010. I forget what possessed me to ask if he liked my hair, but clearly he did.
11 months after this exchange, Darren released his most recent studio album, 'Secret Codes And Battleships':
His music career has since taken a backseat, but he did co-wrote the title track on the 2017 Steps album, 'Tears On The Dance Floor'.
Earlier this summer, he unfollowed me on Twitter. I am too proud to ask why, but it was probably because I chat so much shite.
He's nowt special, tho, with other celebrities to unfollow me on Twitter including London mayor Sadiq Khan and Karen Danczuk.
Makosi Musambasi. She told me she 'loved' my hair following a response to a tweet about one of our shared passions, Jesus Christ.
Just three months after this tweet was sent, Makosi returned to the 'Big Brother' house for 'Ultimate Big Brother'.
Earlier this year she gave a great quote in this piece about representation of black women on reality TV: elleuk.com/life-and-cultu…
Holly Valance. Months after this exchange, Holly signed up to take part in the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she finished 4th
A year later, she married billionaire property developer Nick Candy, the lucky duck. They have a nearly-four-year-old daughter, Luka.
Sinitta. Sinitta is still Sinitta. Since this tweet she has rocked up on The X Factor (repeatedly), The Jump, Get Your Act Together
Safeword, Celebrity Masterchef, I'm A Celebrity (which she joined months after our hair-based exchange)
I write about her every time she does or says something iconic, which is every two or three months. So here you go: huffingtonpost.co.uk/news/sinitta/
Michelle Heaton. In 2012, she reunited w/ her Liberty X bandmates on 'Big Reunion', & later launched a thirsty campaign to get on 'Strictly'
This campaign, boys and girls, was not successful.
There is a happy ending, tho, and in 2016 she became an honorary member of Atomic Kitten.
She's also tirelessly worked to raise awareness of breast cancer and ovarian cancer among young women.
Shayne Ward. After his third album performed lower than expected, Shayne turned his attention to musical theatre, as well as Dancing On Ice.
His music career was put on hold in 2015, when he joined Coronation Street as Aidan Connor, where he remains today.
Of all the celebrities you'll see in this thread, Shayne is the one I'd most like to kiss me on the mouth.
Lauren Laverne. Weren't expecting to see her on this list were you? But there she is. She presents a show on BBC Radio 6 Music, everyone.
Kym Marsh. Still on Coronation Street, recently winning awards for her performance in a hard-hitting stillbirth storyline.
Brian Dowling. Like Makosi, he returned to the Big Brother house in 2011 as an 'Ultimate' housemate, eventually winning the bastard thing!
His charisma in the house led him to become the show's presenter when it moved to Channel 5 a year later, which he did until 2014.
In 2016, he got married and bliddy NARINDER was there!! Lovely. Also we once briefly hung out at G-A-Y and he was super nice. So there y'are
Aisleyne. And speaking of people I once hung out with... Aisleyne.
I once spent an entire night holding Aisleyne's hand at an Amy Childs dress launch.
Why yes, I have gained a bit of weight since then.
I got so fucked at this party that I was sick in my bed. It was a Monday, I had to go to work the next day. It was a catastrophe.
A year after this, Aisleyne returned to the Big Brother house and delivered the most iconic line of the Channel 5 era:
'Basic rations for a basic bitch'
I dont think anyone really knows what happened, but in summer 2016 she was involved in an altercation w/ Farrah Abraham and Janice Dickinson
She also may or may not have [redacted]
My favourite Aisleyne story is when she admitted to drunk-DMing Obama. I like Aisleyne she's a good lass: huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/07/17/ais…
Diva Fever. I once saw one of them on a gay dating app. I forget which. I dont know what theyre up to now but wish them both best of luck.
Julian Clary. A year after this exchange, appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and WON IT. Fancy that, eh?
In what I can only describe as a shock twist, Julian Clary is now a children's author, but he also does REALLY REALLY GOOD books for adults.
Here is his author page on Amazon, check him out: amazon.co.uk/Julian-Clary/e…
Steve Brookstein. Not always known for his nice comments on social media, he was full of praise for my hair.
In fact, I pestered him for three days straight, and this tweet came unprovoked, on one of the days when the pestering had ceased.
In 2014, he released a book called Getting Over The X about his experiences on The X Factor.
It was critically panned, but I actually kind of recommend it if you're an X Factor fan.
At some point shortly after this, he one-upped Darren Hayes.
It was at this point that the Nadine campaign officially launched, but I occasionally asked other celebrities whether they liked my hair.
Denise Welch. Around 18 months after this exchange, entered the Celebrity Big Brother house and WON.
She left her Loose Women role in 2013, to return to her first love of acting, starring in the BBC comedy Boy Meets Girl.
Unlike Darren Hayes, Denise Welch actually follows me on Twitter. If you're reading this, hi Denise! You once said you liked my hair.
I like yours too, Denise.
Earlier this year, I took someone on a date to see Denise as Mrs Mole in The Wind In The Willows.
She was good, but the people we were sat with appeared to be wearing clay masks. We figured they were part of the show. They were not.
Julie Hesmondhalgh. Stopped playing Hayley in 2014, leaving in a very very dramatic assisted suicide storyline.
ACTUALLY, I was once with that same person I saw Denise Welch in Wind And The Willows with when I saw Julie Hesmondhalgh on the South Bank!
Earlier this year, Julie won plaudits for her portrayal of Trish in Broadchurch, and I reckon she's got some sort of award coming for it.
Weirdly, Julie has an 'Awards' section on her Wikipedia page, though there doesn't seem to be anything in it. Odd.
Gemma Collins. Seemingly unaware how Twitter worked, she DMed me to tell me she liked my hair, rather than a traditional tweet.
As you're no doubt aware, Gemma or 'The GC' as she refers to herself, is currently enjoying a resurgence as the Queen Of Memays.
As this proves, I liked her long before the rest of the gay community took her into its fickle bosom.
Here is a feature I wrote celebrating Gemma's musical moments, which I don't think got enough attention at the time huffingtonpost.co.uk/2017/08/22/gem…
Amelle Berrabah. The Sugababes' final single came out months after this exchange.
Amelle is one of only a handful of stars whose careers didn't skyrocket immediately after telling me she liked my hair.
I don't wanna be 'that person' but she later made an appearance on Tumble and... hmmmmm....
She's kept a fairly low profile since then, but was a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef in 2016.
As far as I'm aware, it was less embarrassing than this.
AND FINALLY
Nadine Coyle. New single 'Go To Work' now available to download and stream.
End scene.
OH WAIT ENCORE - this is the photo that all those celebrities were responding to btw.
If you have seen this photo it's bc you have followed me on Twitter for a looooooong time.
And NOW, end scene.
