The bottom line in today's decision in the CREW Emoluments case is below. Basically, Congress can stop what Trump's doing if it wants—then the courts will get involved if necessary. So if certain corrupt GOP pols are voted out and Democrats take the majority, action can be taken.
2/ Any Trump ally who says the court ruled Trump isn't violating the Emoluments Clause is spreading a falsehood.

In all its ruminations on standing, ripeness, and the "political question doctrine" the court at no point ruled on whether Trump's actions are constitutional or not.
3/ In fact, reading the 29-page decision I'd go in the *other* direction: the court is saying that Congress has every authority (again, it did not reach the question of cause) to pass legislation or take other action limiting Trump's access to and involvement with his businesses.
4/ The right way to read what the decision means *in context*: Congress is corrupt; it is letting Trump violate the Constitution because he's a Republican; that forced non-government actors to act; at the District Court level they've failed; they will appeal; Congress should act.
5/ And frankly, if the media asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders every single day why the president *acknowledged* the problem, *promised* a solution, and now is *violating* his promise, it might signal to Congress that they can't ignore the president's recalcitrance on this any longer.
6/ Unfortunately, the media is busy reporting Trump's tweets; reporting the legislative "horse-race" instead of the news (for instance, "The tax bill is a victory for the president"—which in a democracy should be nonsense-speak); and having surrogates-cum-pundits argue for hours.
