/ Welcome to Monday in the independent republic of Brexitlandia
/ In a quiet weekend the Maybot told the EU not to put ideology ahead of the safety of citizens google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theg…
/ Which is funny because the Maybot expressly linked security to a deal in the article 50 letter and said no deal is better than a bad deal 🤔
/ Still it nice to know that UK citizens and EU27 citizens are all being treated equally as bargaining chips 👊👊
/ Except EU27 citizens in the U.K. are double bargaining chips as not only is the Maybot willing to risk their safety she also wants to erode their rights. Some may say this is an odd way to say thank you for paying taxes and contributing to the funding of U.K. public services
/ The Maybot would do well to listen to the European Parliament given it gets to vote on the final deal and in contrast to the UK has directly elected representatives who care about its citizens 🙏amp.theguardian.com/politics/2018/…
/ In Munich the Maybot unintentionally made the case for stopping Brexit because it is not in the national interest 😍😍😍
/ The Maybot did this by linking the security and prosperity of the UK to global security and prosperity. The Maybot went further by arguing it may be in the national interest to participate in certain EU agencies while respecting the remit of the ECJ
/ So if security is in the national interest, why not trade? Especially when the ECJ redline is more like a squiggle drawn by Mr Messy? 🤔
/ And when securiry issues like preserving the GFA through respecting EU trade rules as a fallback expressly link security and trade then the case for the U.K. staying in the SM and a CU become ever stronger 👊
/ After all this consequence would not seem to be in the national interest telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/…
/ And it would seem MPs recognise this link between prosperity and trade which reasonably leads to the question of all MPs: are you doing your duty as an MP to act in the national interest?
/ And the answer is no
/ Some MPs are actively arguing against the national interest by jeopardising not only trade but also security for reasons of ideology
/ Perennial charlatan @DanielJHannan got in the act too
/ I mean fancy two committed Brexiters claiming the GFA has failed. Let's look at the evidence shall we
/ Who remembers @OwenPaterson and @DanielJHannan arguing the GFA had failed BEFORE THE REFERENDUM AND BEFORE PARA 49 OF THE PHASE REPORT?
/ Who thinks these devious liars in public office now argue the GFA has failed because it stands in the way of a hard Brexit
/ It was also interesting to note @bernardjenkin cite democratic reasons as a reason for leaving the single market
/ For democratic reasons it is important to note @bernardjenkin supported the Norway model (which involved being in the SM) before the vote
/ It is important to note for democratic reasons that the people can stop Brexit if it turns out it will harm our security and prosperity and the people advocating it show themselves to be liars. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise 👊👊👊
