1. We are emphatic about starting and running businesses because these days, our schools are like factories designed to produce en masse, people that are equipped to work for other people #WisdomForBusiness
2. In time past, it was normal for a child to pick up the craft of his/her parents. The child of the farmer took up farming, the child of the carpenter took up carpentry; #WisdomForBusiness
3. Jesus was the son of a carpenter and then somewhere along the line, they asked, “is that not the carpenter?” When you think about it, there was an entrepreneurial dimension to all that; it was a family owned business #WisdomForBusiness
4. However, today I realise that people who don’t go through the formal structure of education are most likely to end up being entrepreneurs than those who go to school #WisdomForBusiness
5. I don’t know what it is that the educational system does to our brains that make us go all over the place looking for who to work for. Hence, why we are strong on discussing entrepreneurship. #WisdomForBusiness
6. Even in the Bible, there is a lot about entrepreneurship; a lot of the characters in the Bible were business people. Christ himself was a business person until the age of 30. Some of his disciples were people who grew up in entrepreneurial environments. #WisdomForBusiness
7. Think about Philip and Andrew who were fishermen, James and John, the sons of Zebedee who were in a fishing boat with their father when Jesus met them. They were all entrepreneurs. #WisdomForBusiness
8. It’s good to have an entrepreneurial mindset bcos it shapes your perception, the way you see & interpret your world & you spot opportunities faster than the average person. What an average person calls a problem is what an entrepreneur calls an opportunity. #WisdomForBusiness
9. You can work within an organisation with the mindset of an entrepreneur. You can help create new products & new divisions in the organisations. We call such people “intrapreneurs”. Organisations are growing these days through the activities of intrapreneurs #WisdomForBusiness
10. We have often emphasized on the benefits of being an entrepreneur but I will tell you once again, it is the fastest way to create wealth. The way an entrepreneur earns & spends money is fundamentally different from the way an employee earns & spends money #WisdomForBusiness
11. If you are very good on your job & have entrepreneurial skills, it is possible for you to earn money both ways. The two can contribute to your capacity for earning money on the 3rd category as an investor. It’s good for us to acquire entrepreneurial skills #WisdomForBusiness
12. There is this important question: What if I try to do business and I fail? To that, somebody responded that, “it’s not ‘if’, I have failed already, what should I do?” #WisdomForBusiness
13. Failure is a common experience in the world of business. If you ask the average person who is doing very well in business, the chances that they have experienced failure are very high #WisdomForBusiness
14. If it is not the whole venture that failed, it is a specific activity, a product, a relationship, a specific collaboration or a particular transaction that failed; something failed somewhere. if you ever try to achieve anything, you run the risk of failure #WisdomForBusiness
15. The only person who runs no risk of failure is the person who attempts nothing; and entrepreneurs naturally attempt many things. So be comforted; failure is normal in the world of business. #WisdomForBusiness
16. The main thing is that you have to develop the capacity to manage failure, or you won’t make any headway in business. A lot of it is attitudinal; what you think & how you feel. You are going to fight mental battles and discouragement; it is attitude first. #WisdomForBusiness
17. There is a difference between failure as a person & failure as an event; separate the two. Don’t build monuments on your failures, there is nothing that has happened to you that is not common to man. Learn the lesson, forget the details and try again #WisdomForBusiness
18. There are instances where some business people failed in the Bible. In Luke 5:4-7, Jesus was present to resolve the issues for Peter & his Business Partners. Leverage your relationship with Jesus. The things that are impossible with men are possible with God #WisdomForBusiness
19. Another question that people ask in business: What should I sell? Most people actually don’t even ask that question. Most of us just take what we have to the market and that is why a lot of people get frustrated in Business. #WisdomForBusiness
20. A lot of people sell from their own interest; what they like to eat or what they like to put on. There will definitely be a problem if what you like to eat is not what the customers like to eat. People have needs but their needs may not be what we think #WisdomForBusiness
21. This is not to say your product/service is not fantastic, if people don’t need it, they won’t pay you money for it. The question for you to ask yourself is: Do people really need what I am selling? #WisdomForBusiness
22. The most critical factor at this phase of business is research, analysis of market survey; asking the customers exactly what it is they need and then create or source the product that the customers need. #WisdomForBusiness
23. Sometimes, it’s an existing product but there is a way they want it that it is not being provided. Maybe it is the way it is distributed or the way it is packaged. it is always good to ask your customers questions. #WisdomForBusiness
24. Find out what they are willing to allow you charge for, at a price that is higher than your cost and then you know you have found a profitable line of business #WisdomForBusiness
25. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that this will be for you a season of discovery and revelation; your eyes will be open to people’s needs. You will never be stranded again. #WisdomForBusiness
26. I pray the business that is not accurately oriented & has not found its niche nor identified the exact need it should meet, there shall be an alignment this season. Your business will experience a turnaround & it shall become profitable in Jesus mighty name #WisdomForBusiness
