Given these generational numbers, it's hard to overstate how much the complexion of US politics would change if millennials showed up to vote the way boomers do.
In 2016, baby boomers matched millennials as a share of the voting-eligible American electorate. Turnout was 69% for boomers, 49% for millennials.
