Restricting Freedom of Speech affects everyone. This means that a lot of people will be defending it and yes, that means people you do not like will be defending it too. Because even though you might not like that person, at the end of the day, they are human.
Meaning that human rights apply to them too, so they have every right to defend it, just as you do too. To completely abandon your principles just because someone you hate shares the same principle, will only serve to damage the cause in it's entirety.
I disagree a lot with the far left, most of them hate me, but I stand with them when it comes to protecting things like gay marriage and protecting physical safety. I disagree a lot with the far right, but I stand with them when it comes to protecting things like freedom.
Like it or not, the things that are happening right now affect all of us. So yes, a lot of us might have a huge problem with each other, but what we are supposed to do, is put our differences aside and work together to protect each others rights.
Just because someone believes things that you disagree with, does not suddenly invalidate all of their other beliefs, you might find there are things you actually agree on. Everyone stop acting so childish and put your differences aside, we have work to do.
