The tactic of going after a persons income is called "breaking your ricebowl". It was common before when people would try to get people fired from their jobs for their politics. What usually happened is this person could then focus 100% of their time on activism. A backfire.
To counter this what people would then do is try to get them kicked off of all SocMed platforms and all payment processors, to make sure that their enemies couldn't even feed themselves or pay their bills, essentially rendering them destitute.
People like Milo, Allsup and Sargon probably have no hope of getting a regular job, and even on the rare occasions they did get one, people would still try to get them fired. These people are trying to gatekeep the ability of these people to live a regular life, over politics.
Basically if you have the wrong politics, or if people simply do not like you, they will find it justifiable to put you in a situation where you will possibly end up homeless, as they will take away any method were you could even make just enough to pay your rent.
You then drift away from activism, because you now need to spend 100% of your time, struggling to make sure you don't end up on the streets.

It's probably one of the most vile and evil tactics that has no justification.
