Human beings are evolved (not designed) to be exceptionally adaptable. Look at the astonishingly wide variety of ecological niches we fill! Look how our large brains and societies help us not just adapt to, but create, rapid change, to our own advantage! 2/

And don’t tell me that members of our species, which doesn’t just survive but thrives on change, which “has eaten the storms and folded them into our genes” to paraphrase EO Wilson, can’t handle having new neighbors with different levels of melanin in their skin. 5/5
