Right folks. We need to get a grip on this. The prevalent feelings among grassroots Labour members today seems to be that the neoliberals have succeeded in fracturing the left, that we are consumed in a relentless fight about anti-semitism, and that Momentum have bottled it.
Here's where I'm at. We can acknowledge where we are today, park what we can't sort right now, and keep moving forward by focusing on what we can achieve. Right now.
We know the Tories have lurched massively to the right - some openly meeting with known fascists, while media looks the other way. We've got Tommy Robinson peddled across all media (especially BBC) as a hero while Jeremy is being destroyed by them as a racist. And yes that hurts.

3/ We presented facts, figures, estimates, graphs, cartoons.... you name it. Even songs and breakfasts. We reached out and stayed patient when we were yelled at and called enemies of the people. Some people were assaulted.

(2) When I use the term "time honored strategy" I'm saying the strategy has proven effective over a long period of time. It's one of my key messages in this thread: That our adversaries learned the lessons of history better than we have... until now.

I think it's possible to miss the forest for the trees with this book, and in analyzing a few short excerpts I don't want to contribute to that mistake. 1/
That Trump didn't want or expect to win—as I wrote about in Tweet #1—is borne out by his promise to spend $1 billion on his campaign and the reality that he starved it of money from Day 1.

The money he put in, he put in as a loan, putting his campaign in debt from the jump. 2/
