You take spoon and sip the soup.......
It is dark but it's never been anything but so you know nothing else, it's not a bad thing just the way of things. Then there's a rumble, things move in the dark around you, something takes you and moves you around, there

is a new sensation! Fear? Suddenly there's something to see, a single strand of yellow ribbon out in the distance then a sort of foomh! sound, you are bathed in light, the safety of the dark is gone now there's lights and blurry shapes, you start to cry involuntarily...

Your back at the table, you look around wide eyed, the other guests seem to be simply enjoying soup!
You remember asking the bard what was served at the feast but you'd assumed he'd been waxing lyrical when he said:
"Soup of the first suns light, served in first cry of a newborn"

You realise your dinner companions have stopped eating and are looking at you in what you assume is their version of a quizzical manner. the same way friends might look at the one who's tried something terribly spicy for the first time.
