What @Dloesch, @Benhowe and @NRATV are trying to do by breathlessly attacking @alyssa_milano because 1 event security guard she did not hire and we did not ask to be armed may have made a personal choice to carry a weapon is to distract you from the following things that matter:
1. The @NRA just appointed a man who sold arms to Iran, funded a dictator and a revolutionary group in Central America and destroyed evidence of the same, and who has a history of attacking LGBTQ and other comminities of Americans as their new president.
2. There is an ongoing and expanding investigation into the @NRA's Russian funding. In fact, during their convention, they hosted TulAmmo, a company with ties to the Kremlin and a recently-sanctioned Russian oligarch.
4. That the @NRA continued its vile and racists attacks on black Americans during its convention, projecting a large image of @deray and calling our friends at #BlackLivesMatter "ungrateful."
5. That @CBP, which tolerates roving bands of armed vigilantes on the border but which will now separate children from parents at the border, had a booth in their convention - using your tax dollars to support their organization alongside the Russian-funded company.
6. That while they incorrectly insist "mental health" is the problem, but support candidates and host a president who bragged at their convention about "decimating Obamacare," which provides coverage for mental health to millions of Americans.
That a member of their board worked and helped spread the ideas of a white supremacist who argued that people of color were genetically inferior to white people.
That another member of their board threatened to kill the President of the United States and other high-ranking government officials and recently suggested all members of one political party should be shot.
There is no end to the proof that the @NRA values money over lives. But they don't want you to see that. So they attack us, they attack @alyssa_milano, #BLM, immigrants, the #ParklandStudents. They lie to spread fear and hate, because fear and hate sell guns. #NoRA
