Houston might very well win this game, or multiple games in the series, but until they get rid of D’Antoni they will never win anything meaningful. Harden’s iso game was pushed by McHale as well. Until Harden gets a better coach he won’t win anything either.
Moral of the story D’Antoni is wildly overrated (a position I’ve held for a long time) who can only succeed with superstars (as he should), just like he did in Phoenix with Nash Marion stoudemire etc. He coached Melo in NY and was atrocious. Give him 3 stars and he still wont win
