You know why people are making a big fuss over ONE birkin bag?
Here's handbags hierarchy 101

Hermès is on a league of its own, and even among Hermès handbags, Birkin and Kelly is considered as the crème de la crème i.e the best of the best

You are doing an injustice if you compare Hermès with Gucci or Prada, LV or Dior's top tiers might be near but it still won't be in the same league

It's not a bag, it's Birkin - Sex and the City
*though the 5 years waiting policy is not applicable anymore nowadays 😎

Even so, you can't just pop in to Hermès boutique and say 'I want to buy a Birkin'.

You need to build a profile with them first, and after a certain amount being spent on them, ONLY then they'll probably invite you into the circle

So yeah, imagine the fuss people made when they actually see ONE authentic Birkin; the judging eyes that follows, the 'who is she question' and the speculations running through their mind..
And now, someone with 200++ of Birkinsesss???

And FYI, Posh Beckham is well known for owning as much as 100 Birkin handbags, but it looks like someone else might took over her throne isn't it 😎😎

Alright.. since I didn't expect my tweet to be shared to this extent, let me clarify a few things:

1. This tweet was made so that people would actually know why Birkin is such a big fuss; the so-called 'holy grail', the exclusivity and the real value behind the name itself.

2. This post has nothing to do with advocating animal cruelty. I'm well aware that a few luxury brands are associated with such issues but if anything, I'm actually against it.

3. There are a lot more other brands not being mentioned, I know. Even Dior wasn't in the list 😑
But it's not really about which brand was listed/not because the main thing is, those few examples given can give you the benchmark as to where most brand stands amongst each other.

4. The list wasn't absolute. Some brands do belong in multiple categories, because they have the low end line as well as top tiers; eg Céline, Louis Vuitton.

5. And no.. Bonia, Carlo Rino, Sembonia etc does not belong in any of those category..
Why? Don't ask me huhu..
But eventhough they're not within the category, doesn't mean you should stop supporting them.
