Prosecutors claim that indicted attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya fabricated supposed findings from a mutual legal assistance treaty. @PeteBrush dug up that Russian MLAT, and it's signed by "S.A. Karapetyan."

A top Russian prosecutor with that name died in a copter crash last year.
Just as prosecutors allege, the Russian MLAT clears itself and vilifies an "Investment Company" throughout, in particular, Bill Browder's Hermitage Capital.

It should be noted that figures connected to the Prevezon case, believed to be tied to Russian organized crime, have a habit of encountering misfortune.

(Note: Despite my ironic usage of the phrase "fake news" in relation to Concord Management, the more accurate phrase for the outfit would be disinformation mill, as "fake news" is a meaningless propaganda term.)

🚨 MAJOR: Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian attorney in the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, charged with obstruction of justice in the Prevezon case.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said she fabricated evidence.
Remember when Donald Trump, Jr. claimed that he "mostly talked about adoptions" with Veselnitskaya at the Trump Tower meeting?

That's Russia's response to sanctions over the death of Sergei Magnitsky, a key figure in the Prevezon case.

There's been so much news about treatment of migrants and refugees at the U.S.-Mexico border this week that it's been hard to keep track. Some highlights:
The @HoustonChron reported that Border Patrol in Texas has been separating parents from their children when they cross the border, and one man was deported without his toddler.

1. This is a thread about immigration and children and the policies the US now employs to separate mothers from their kids and put the children in "foster care or whatever" according to John Kelly. tucson.com/news/local/par…
2. What animates this policy, in the best light possible, is that the threat of separating families will deter migrants from risking the journey. I don't think we have seen any data to prove that. But even assuming true....
3. These migrants and moms have already made a calculation far scarier. They are willing to leave their homes and nations with young children, risk the physical threats and abuse, to find a safe haven for their kids.
