I have come back. into chaos. Just returned from the Holi holidays. First day into work after seven days. And they put me in quarantine. I hang my white coat.

It doesn’t feel the same

2/When I went home there was only one suspected case.

The Pandemic was mostly in Italy and US.

We were laughing how HOD have the most to fear before the holiday

Older age group.

THREAD 🧵 Here are some key take-aways from my #COVID19 update today. We are relying on the best available information and we are gradually taking steps to relax some of the guidelines in low-risk environments and begin to live with COVID-19 in our communities. #covid19nfld
2⃣ COVID-19 is here. It is in our communities and unfortunately will be a part of our daily lives until a vaccine is available. We need to live life with the threat of COVID-19 around us.
3⃣ More businesses, services and activities will resume only when they can be delivered safely and within the public health guidelines.

Here are some rules for social distancing that a lot of people don’t seem to grasp:

1. DON’T GO TO YOUR FRIENDS HOUSE. PERIOD.

That means you can’t have board game nights even if you’re sat at other ends of the table. No coffee dates. Don’t get together to sing some tunes.
2. DON’T GO TO CROWDED PARKS FOR WALKS.

Places like Bowring Park are on wheels so go somewhere more isolated if you can. As a wheelchair user I’d someday like to go for a stroll there b/c it’s accessible but I can’t because you & your army of friends are there feeding the ducks.
3. RUN ESSENTIAL ERRANDS AS FEW TIMES AS POSSIBLE.

Don’t keep going to Dominion just because it’s open and you want to have a yarn with strangers in the produce aisle. Go out as few times as you can and only run essential errands. Try to do curbside grocery pickup if possible.
