Ok , Time to rant! Let's talk about personal responsibility and the crutch of blaming others. Thread incoming. #MAGA
1. People love blaming others for the consequences of their own actions. They blame God , Blacks blame whites, Husbands blame wives , kids blame parents , etc etc. It's been happening since Adam blamed Eve for eating the forbidden fruit.
2. Let's talk about the problems in communities of color for a bit. One of the main arguements used by the left is that the reason why so much crap happens there is because of systematic racism. I call B.S and here is why.
3. They say that people can't overcome their surroundings , well I have many friends who did overcome their surroundings . I have a friend who I will call B. B was raised in the hood. I mean the ghetto ! However B had good parents who raised him right.
4. They were poor but they loved each other. B was surrounded by drugs, crime, very sexually active friends but B never got involved in that. Why ? Because he feared his parents. B went on to get a BA, a master's and eventually a PHD and he overcame his surroundings.
5. Another friend of mine i will call GL . Both of GLs parents were heroin addicts. GL did get into alot of trouble. Craziest dude i knew. He had alot of anger, always getting into fights, he robbed people, he went to jail. He sold dope , he was truly a menace to society.
6. But one day something strange happened to GL, he began going to church and completely turned his life around. A good man came into his life and began to mentor him. GL got off the streets, got clean and got a great job and built a beautiful family.
7. In both of those examples, having mentors whether it was parents or solid people who cared are what made all the difference. This is why @larryelder hits the nail on the head when he says that the biggest issue in communities of color is lack of fathers in the home.
8. I sympathize with people's struggles. I know that ignorance runs rampant but there comes a time when people have to come face to face with the truth. In all my years running the east oakland streets, " The man " never forced me to do drugs or break the law.
9. " The man didn't make me drop out of school , " The man didn't make me sell dope , " The man " didn't make me act like an unhinged fool. I did that on my own and my parents have both also taken responsibility for their personal failings in my bad teenage years .
10. My dad wasn't there for me as much as he should of been and my mom who is my hero had to work like a dog to raise me and she wasn't around as much due to work. So i was left to myself and I had to learn life's hardest lessons on my own.
11. Being an adolescent is hard for everyone, no matter what your upbringing was, we seek to find purpose and meaning in life, we seek to find ourselves, so I cut people some slack when they do dumb things as kids but when we become adults, we must begin to be accountable.
12. I hate blaming others for our problems. It serves no purpose. I will acknowledge that factors outside of our control affect us however at the end of the day you are responsible for your failures.

You decided to drop out of school.
You decided to get pregnant young .
13. You decided to Marry that scumbag that your family and friends all warned you about.

You decided to do drugs.
You decided to be foolish with your money.
You decided to get into debt.
You decided to quit your job.
You decided to vote for someone wo doing proper research
14. You decided to not get involved politically and sit back and watch others who don't share your values , steer your country in the direction they deemed best.

You decided to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a useless degree like gender studies lol

You Did that!
15. But instead of taking personal responsibility you'd rather blame some else for your failings.

It's my spouse's fault.
It's my parent's fault.
It's my bosses fault.
It's the white man's fault.
It's the jooooos fault.
It's the government's fault.
It's Trump's fault.
16. Say it with me ! IT'S MY FAULT! And once you can be honest with yourself you can then start finding ways to improve your life. Your relationships. Your finances. Your community. Your state. Your country.
17. I truly want to see people do well. I want to see people happy, successful, being productive. I wish everyone happiness & success even liberals lol. I want to see our country do well. Stop blaming others for your problems. Get out there & be the best you, you can be. #MAGA
