An estimated 4,645 people died in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria, almost as many as 9/11 AND Hurricane Katrina. Now, Hurricane season is back and 11,000 Puerto Ricans are still without power. The Trump admin botched this and many Americans are still suffering as a result.

9 days after both storms: $142M approved for Harvey w/ 30K responders on the ground. $6.2M and 10K responders for Maria.

Trump picked a fight with the mayor of San Juan and blamed Maria victims for his failures by saying Puerto Ricans: "want everything to be done for them."
Instead of sending appropriate resources with a sense of urgency, Trump was focused on riling up his base by attacking POC.
