good morning! just a reminder that corey long did nothing wrong and we can & must defend our streets against white supremacists.

corey’s trial is set for 10:35am today in charlottesville general district court. he’s charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct for his actions on august 12th.

judge downer found corey long guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced him to 360 days, with 340 days suspended. this is a gross injustice.

corey long did nothing wrong.

the misdemeanor assault charge was null processed because the commonwealth was unable to contact the alleged victim, harold crews.
crews, chairman of the NC league of the south, did not show up.

the judge says corey will likely be eligible to serve his 20 day active sentence on weekend service. his report date is june 22.
he also ordered two years good behavior and 100 hours of community service.

corey has already served this community. he did charlottesville a service on august 12 when he stood up to klan leader richard preston, who pleaded guilty to feloniously firing his gun into the ground at corey’s feet.

what really bothers me about judge downer’s decision this morning is that he chose to impose an active sentence against the prosecutor’s advice. commonwealth’s attorney joe platania explicitly requested no incarceration. the judge chose to send a message anyway.
