In first direct challenge to the Government's Universal Credit scheme, the High Court has ruled that the scheme unlawfully discriminated against disabled individuals. @LeighDay_Law and @matrixchambers acting.

Note by @matrixchambers provides clarity: Lack of transitional protection was challenged. Held to be unlawful as discriminatory & breached ECHR Art 14.

Govt has said law will be changed and transitional protection paid retrospectively. @EHRC intervening.
