Ok, because I don't see anyone else saying this and it's important.
You are not solely the one responsible for fixing any of this.
The weight of the world is not solely on your shoulders.
If you need to take a nap, take a walk, be off Twitter for a day, mute a hashtag, tap out of headlines for a week: do it.
Absolutely no-one and nothing is served by you burning yourself out in anger and frustration.
Lots of people will be yelling at you to GET ANGRY and DO THE WORK and you can mute them if you need to.
There are people who are doing the work (does anyone have a good thread of orgs working on family separation?). Find them. Support them.
You are not responsible for and, indeed, cannot, fix this on your own.
Further thought (after computer-forced restart)...
What's happening now -- family separations; abuse of immigrants; erosion of LGBTQ rights; loss of net neutrality; erosion of environmental rights -- is all incredibly fraught, traumatic stuff.
The odds of your being able to be "on" for it 24/7/52/365 are very small.

Get help. Find support. Get a therapist. Make a coffee date with a friend. Watch a movie with your siblings over chat. Whatever works for you.
I know it feels like everything just fell apart at once and, yes, massive damage is being done right now but it also took decades to get here and it will take decades to fix.
This is an endurance event, not a sprint.
There. Lecture over.

If anyone wants to tag in #selfcare or #respite resources or orgs to support, please do so.
