1/ How modern day “liberals” think our relationship with the state should be:
🔫 totally defenceless
📹 watched at all times
🗣 all communications monitored & recorded forever
👤 identity attached to everything
🤲 everything requires permission, especially money
2/ Then, to bring about “change”:

1/ @Medium promotes articles from token sale scams to their front page and editor's picks, helping a group of scumbags make money at their readers' expense. That gets a pass. As long as the narrative is full of virtue, that's all that matters.
2/ Any articles about actual freedom? "You're scum get f ck d." The prevailing Silicon Valley worldview hates bitcoin and hates freedom. They want to set the agenda, they want to set the tone. They want to define "good" and then make everyone else live by it.
3/ Their mission is to shepherd (socially engineer) their users into a world view of big government, endless welfare, surveillance-solves-everything, disarmed and detoothed, man vs woman, black vs white, young vs old, arbitrary ambiguous “hate” as the ultimate sin.

1/ “Fiat may not be great as store of value, but it has done great as a medium of exchange, no? Anyway, money needs to be a good enough store of value to make people want it, but a bad enough store of value that people don't want it too long.”
2/ I’d give fiat a C+ for medium of exchange. It’s certainly more convenient than transferring gold within the boundaries of a jurisdiction. It’s mostly useless for anyone elsewhere in the world, and is subject to extreme friction for cross border trade.
3/ Fiat is also heavily censored, making it difficult to move, even for legit business. This problem is getting increasingly worse.

1/ Bitcoin or an altcoin’s fixed supply is far more than simply its code. The key is *how easy* this variable is to change.

1. There's a certain tic amongst the conservative commentariat (including even the Never Trump variety) that I want to explore in this thread--the habit of writing against some overwrought caricature of a monolithic and incipiently tyrannical "left."
2. To some extent, we might see this as a hold-over from the Reagan era, the golden age of American conservatism, when a diverse range of conservatives agreed to overlook their differences and join in a coalition organized around the existential fight against "Godless Communism."
3. Perhaps there's something in the political DNA of today's generation of conservative commentators (almost all of whom came of age in the Reagan era) that drives them to imagine their politics as always in relation to some imagined, totalitarian boogeyman to their left.

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

At some point in his interview, I'm sure @GenFlynn alluded to the fact his phone calls with Kislyak were monitored & recorded & TRANSCRIPTS of the conversations were part of that selfsame intelligence report that were leaked to Ignatius of the Washington Post.
