Meanwhile while working the Akute case with the rogue DPO days back. There was another report from Warri. Some Policemen stormed a residence in Warri and abducted a family preparing for a wedding. They hospitalized one of the brothers and arrested 5 others.
It has been 3days now and they have no offense or charge. The wedding is slated for this Thursday and they have been picked up since Friday. The DPO is one Aniete Eyoh Of Division D Command.
Attempts to get help from PCRRU as I recommended to the victim’s family proved abortive as they were told they couldn’t reach the Delta state command. Every member of the family that tried to go to the police station for bail have been detained.

I guess we have to reach the respective CPs ourselves since @PoliceNG_PCRRU have done what they know how to do best. Make excuses and play dead only to claim the achievement of others once investigation is concluded. Thankfully the days of YOMI are numbered in that office.

Spoken to the Area D Commander & Suprintendent Ovie in charge. He has ordered the release of many innocent people abducted yesterday mostly in front of their homes without charge. All the cases are going on file. We can’t continue like this. Shame on @PoliceNG_PCRRU
We lost Ifunnaya Amadike today in Warri. He went to bail his brother from Division B and the men of Police beat him up until he was hospitalized. The DPO Anietie Eyoh Superintends over these abductions and extrajudicial killings yet we have a Government in place?

Why not start by accounting for the previous campaign funds and showing the donors? I guess this is a good place to start. Our world has changed and skeletons buried in the past often stick out their limbs for all to see. No admin has reached into the treasury to fund election.
If indeed it is true that APC is not interested in money politics, we must all wonder what the thugs deployed by the party across Nigeria to upturn elections & intimidate voters are killing themselves for. Sincerity is what is missing in these statements and Nigerians will act.

So gracefully, they stepped away, and I supported. For this, we were deleted and blocked from all groups, and blocked from all Social Media platforms, both for the page and by the leadership. [3]

May. Mumbai. I rocked up at the venue more out of casual interest. On joining a queue 2 km long I noticed enthusiasts who had arrived there as though their lives depended on them. Some with their mothers holding Prasad, other rebels who had braved odds and traveled alone.
I joined the queue at 7 AM. There were people who had arrived at 5 AM. Others who had camped overnight. False notion that early arrival = early audition. No one from the crew to dispel such notions. Gate opens 1 PM.

Twenty years ago today. It’s crazy to even think that much time has passed. Twenty years ago, I was a freshman at college in Hartford, CT and my friends and I were die-hard @davematthewsbnd fans. (If that turns you off, insert your favorite band at 18 years old and read on)
The band had just finished an album of never-heard-before songs (Before These Crowded Streets) and nothing had leaked yet. They were starting the summer with a home state show in VA & it was a safe bet they’d be debuting the new songs then. Adventure called. I had to be there.
