A woman who says she loves her husband but refuses to serve him, is a hypocrite. Love is service. Too many women serve their children, friends, even their pets but will not make their husbands a sandwich, will not pick up his socks, will not give him sex when tired or busy... 1/3
...too busy to reach out to our husband's family and friends with hospitality. We give him the cold shoulder or worse nag him when he fails to live up to our expectations. If we love our man, we will try to please him. Serving is the outward expression of love. 2/3

In late-August of 2010, my dear first-cousin was diagnosed with inoperable, non-curable, small-cell lung #cancer. He and I were raised like #siblings and cared for one another as brother and sister, a very close-knit family.

The chapter begins with the Philistines invading Judah.

Philistines and Israelites face each other from their vantage points on the two sides of the Valley of Elah.
The Philistines have a big guy named Goliath on their side (v. 4).

Interestingly, after initially being named, he generally just gets called 'the Philistine' (e.g. v. 10). He no doubt thinks his name/reputation are important. The narrator doesn't.

When we started showing @selfcaretheapp to publishers they said: This isn't a game. @Aleissia and I had talked for years re. the future of games and how they will grow into many new things without names yet, esp. when people of other backgrounds/trades start experimenting.
Then @rodolfor told me it was time to name one of those new things. @selfcaretheapp isn't a game. What is it? I thought about it for weeks. Nothing came to me. My mind is abstract--I think in systems and patterns--and concrete examples and terms are very hard for me.
One morning I woke up very early from stress and jetlag. I had just had dinner with one of my advisors. He gets up early every morning and works out with an app. I thought, I can be one of those CEOs who gets up at 5AM and works out. I opened my phone and went to the App Store.

I took a class this semester on computational models of human decision making, and it was awesome. I learned about algorithms, and how information is taken in and updated to help us decide *stuff*
The final project was to develop code that could produce data and learn from itself (given parameters I set...the computers aren't going to kill us all.)

A Thread for Men: When your #woman is #emotional, #crying or #stressed out, do not hold it against her. One of the lies of #feminism is that men and women are the same, including that we should process #emotions the same way. Reject the lie. Listen and learn in the posts below.
#Women have much greater #hormonal fluctuations each month than #men do. Simply put, a woman's thought life and #emotions are more prone to high highs, and low lows. This isn't a "design flaw" but rather how #God made a #woman to be in touch with the needs of small #children.
Nothing is more short-sighted as a #man than viewing a #woman as an "overly emotional" or "flawed" version of a man's thought process or #emotions. A woman that does not let her emotions out will become very #passiveaggressive, #depressed or #angry. Your job is to be an #outlet.
