It is a wartime strategy. And a very, very risky one. It only works if it looks like your precommitment/burning bridges strategy will work. But the EU knows it won't (remember The Times - food shortages, medicine shortages, port of Dover collapse) /2
It's also become clear that the only reason no deal is explicitly on the table is to appease the Brexity Tories. That twat David Cameron believed the Referendum would finally solve the divisions in the Conservative Party. Now we're going towards armageddon. Twat. /ends
