Time to start a new thread, of #HorrorILove! First up: @LairdBarron's first collection, The Imago Sequence (2007), stories of subtle eeriness and supernatural horror!
Next up in #HorrorILove: @ramseycampbell1's 2/3rds finished cosmic horror trilogy masterpiece "The Three Births of Daoloth," including The Searching Dead (2016) and Born to the Dark (2017)! Will be blogging about them soon!
One more #HorrorILove for today: Bertrand Mitford's The Sign of the Spider (1896), a classic tale of surprising depth, a cruel anti-hero -- and a big-ass spider!
Okay, one more #HorrorILove today: @LucyASnyder's While the Black Stars Burn (2015), a fantastic and disturbing collection of cosmic horror that explores vulnerability and betrayal!
Like most of my long-running threads, I will add to #HorrorILove every day or so. Feel free to make your own suggestions with the hashtag as well!
Today’s #HorrorILove recommendation: @BrianKeene’s Earthworm Gods, a very strange (and damp) novel of the apocalypse!
Today's #HorrorILove recommendation: @TheNuminous1's Furnace (2016), an intense collection of stories that are simultaneously poetic and also broach some of the most horrific and taboo topics of society!
Today's #HorrorILove recommendations: @larryblamire's eerie and bizarre Tales of the Callamo Mountains, tales of folklore-style horror set in the Western frontier!
