What's a Brand?
A brand is a product, service, or concept that is publicly distinguished from other products, services, or concepts so that it can be easily communicated and usually marketed. A brandname is the name of the distinctive product, service, or concept. #DigitalMarket

#InfluencerMarketing #influencer the regulations of the Advertising Regulatory Board (ARB) have been doing the rounds for quite sometime now, but if you are not aware here is what (brand) influencers need to know:
Ordinarily the brand which approaches you should approach you with an influencer agreement which will clearly state your obligations as an influencer and should naturally include the advertising regulations of the ARB. Please read your agreement to make sure it’s all there.
In the event that you do not have an agreement 🚩 you can still just carry on with this thread and ensure that you protect yourself as brand YOU! As we were taught in law school “ignorance of the law is no excuse” so you can’t avoid liability just because you were unaware.

So after recent drama concerning influencers, “staged content” and unrealistic lifestyles, I wanted to discuss what our industry can learn from it.

[THREAD]

NOTE: I DO NOT CONDONE OR SUPPORT BULLYING, TROLLING OR DEATH THREATS MADE TO ANY INDIVIDUALS IN THIS/SIMILAR SITUATIONS.
Sifting through the vile and unwarranted bullying that was present in the comments section of the content, what I saw was a number of users complaining that this kind of content is wildly unachievable and has significantly lowered their own confidence/satisfaction.
It’s important for influencers/bloggers to understand that we have a responsibility to our audience and the balance between revenue and audience satisfaction is a delicate one.

Any “influence” over our audience has a certain moral responsibility that comes with it.
