I sure as hell hope someone tells the judge in San Diego on Monday that the idiots representing the government in Arizona claim no knowledge of his deadline for reuniting children with parents.

The DOJ/US attorney said he wasn’t familiar with the deadline facing the federal government to reunite kids under 5 with their parents BY TUESDAY.

IANAL for said agency and I'm familiar. Do they live under a rock?
"The 1-year-old boy in a green button-up shirt drank milk from a bottle... Then it was the child’s turn for his court appearance before a Phoenix immigration judge." US Health and Human Services Department in AZ has custody.

One. Year. Old.

"In the end, (one year old) Johan was granted a voluntary departure order that would allow the government to fly him to Honduras so that he could be reunited with his family."

His story will, hopefully, result in a happy reunification.

The feds sent her to Chicago; he was released in El Paso and has moved to Fort Mill, SC with relatives.

The US wants him to pay $1,250 to fly her from Chicago.

Whitaker's op-ed was "highly critical of a candidate, and he ought not to be doing that, because it’s a political partisan comment."

Whittaker founded his Section 501c3 NFP in 2015.

I had no idea "ineligible" parents included people the Trump administration had simply lost track of -- sometimes because they were deported w/o their children, often with the understanding that w/ deportation would come reunification.
.@itscaitlinhd makes the crucial point: "We have seen no evidence of a plan for how parents and children might have been brought together."

And no evidence that they would have been brought together if it weren't for the federal judge in San Diego, Dana Sabraw, who ordered it.

I’m in San Diego. Going into court to watch Trump administration and @ACLU meet a day after the reunification deadline.

DHS says all “eligible” parents and children are reunified but 711 kids of 2,551 were “ineligible.”

DHS didn’t commit to reuniting any of that group in US.
I’m out of court.

Judge said next step must be finding 431 “missing parents” already deported and 52 released into the US.

He‘ll soon issue an order on that and a ruling on potential 7-day stay on deportations for 1,000 (!) reunited families with executable removal orders.
The @ACLU also said in court the judge should block deportations of 120 parents who may have mistakenly waived reunification, calling it "torturous to have a parent thinking" they gave away their child in error.
