Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota was invited to the White House tonight for Trump’s Supreme Court decision event, but won't be attending, her spokesperson says, per @LauraLitvan.
West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin also was invited to the WH tonight for the SCOTUS rollout and also is not coming, @sahilkapur reports.
GOP Sen. Susan Collins of Maine won’t be at the WH for Trump’s Supreme Court event.
“I look forward to seeing the choice. I appreciate being invited but I’m not going to be present. I can get a better sense of it watching it,” she said, per @LauraLitvan.
