LISA PAGE: The former FBI lawyer will *not* comply with a congressional subpoena to appear tomorrow before two House committees, her attorney says. The full statement:
This is a double blow for House Republicans. Peter STRZOK is scheduled to testify publicly Thursday and they wanted Page’s private testimony in hand as ammunition.
GOODLATTE says the House will use "all tools at our disposal" to get Page's testimony. That may mean an attempt to enforce the subpoena.

Almost every aspect of this is untrue.
There’s no evidence Mueller’s team did anything except follow DOJ policy when it reissued Strzok and Page’s phones to new agents. There texts were reviewed and deemed immaterial, per IG report. oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/i…

Gowdy and Goodlatte acknowledge they essentially didn’t get to finish their investigation of the FBI and DOJ, ask successors and GOP senators to continue investigating.
They launched it in Oct 2017. Dems say they don’t intend to continue it, calling it a partisan effort to undermine Mueller.
Note the cc list includes Graham, the next Senate Judiciary Committee chairman. Excludes Schiff despite including Nunes and Dems.

BREAKING: The FBI *deputy director* is directly rebuffing a GOP request to vet/redact witness transcripts by Christmas Eve -- a deadline he says is not possible without risking classified info.

He, not too subtly, notes the "legal requirement" they have not to disclose such info
GOP lawmakers, who will be giving up power in the House next month, sent 3,400 pages of witness interviews for FBI on Wednesday, according to FBI.

"Your committee has not afforded the FBI the time necessary" to review by Christmas Eve -- which he notes in italics.
"Moreover, given the nature of the topics covered with the witnesses ... the transcripts ... may contain classified information."

Calls for full review by FBI, DOJ and Special Counsel Mueller's team, "as appropriate."
