the city of charlottesville has just announced the road closures and parking restrictions for the weekend of august 10-12.
the closures will be in effect beginning at 6 p.m. friday, august 10, 2018 through midnight sunday, august 12, 2018

i suspect this year they will use more than a sawhorse and a school resource officer to close intersections. i expect to see the full force of our militarized local & state police. be careful out there, comrades.
in case you thought i was fucking kidding, these are screenshots from p. 91, 139-140, & 163 of the critical incident review of the events of last summer.
the *school resource officer* usually stationed in a local elementary school was frightened by the nazis and left her post.

daniel borden will be sentenced tomorrow after pleading guilty in may 2018 for his role in the brutal beating of deandre harris on august 12, 2017.
he entered an alford plea for felony malicious wounding - briefly, this means he maintains innocence while admitting he knows the state has sufficient evidence to convict him (because he's, you know, on video committing the crime)

two other men have already been tried, convicted, and sentenced for their participation in this beating. alex ramos & jacob goodwin were convicted in 2018 and will serve 6 & 10 years, respectively.
tyler davis goes to trial next month.
