Last week marked a year-and-a-half since @POTUS Trump and I took the oath of office… It’s been a year-and-a-half of action. It’s been a year-and-a-half of results. And it’s been a year-and-a-half of promises made and promises kept! And we’re just getting started.
We promised to roll back the heavy hand of government – @POTUS has signed more laws repealing federal red tape already than any president in American history! Under @SecretaryZinke’s leadership, the Department of @Interior alone cut new regulations by more than half!
We cut taxes for working families—the typical family of 4 in Montana will save $2,200+ on their taxes when the tax cuts take full effect! We cut taxes for businesses large & small so companies here in MT can compete & win & create jobs against any company anywhere in the world.
Jon Tester said he’d “work with anybody to cut taxes for Montana families & small businesses.” But when he actually had the opportunity to vote to cut your taxes, Jon Tester voted no. When the time came to cut taxes on MT business owners, farmers, & ranchers, Jon Tester voted no.
Since Election Day, businesses large & small have created 3.7M new jobs – including 7,000 new jobs in the last 18 months here in Montana! Nationwide, unemployment claims are at a nearly 50-year-low. In Billings, the unemployment rate is nearly 40% lower than the national average.
