I usually don’t take sides in primaries, but when it comes to the "Democrats" of the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC) in the New York State Senate, I have no choice.

There are 9 real Democrats challenging 9 fake “Democrats” this year in the New York State Primary on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH.

These real Democrats MUST win their primaries if NY is to have a true-blue Progressive future.

In NY State Senate District 38, real Democrat Julie Goldberg (@Julie4NYSenate) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” David Carlucci. Julie is an educator, a writer, and a mom who wants to fight for Progressive values in NY.

In NY State Senate District 34, real Democrat Alessandra Biaggi (@Biaggi4NY) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Jeff Klein, a Trump supporter who has stifled Progressive legislation and spearheaded the IDC movement.

In NY State Senate District 11, real Democrat John Liu (@LieNewYork) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Tony Avella. John has great experience as former Comptroller of NYC and is a champion of fairness and equality.

In NY State Senate District 13, real Democrat Jessica Ramos (@jessicaramos) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Jose Peralta. Jessica has been a warrior on behalf of labor unions, fighting for better pay, benefits and working conditions.

In NY State Senate District 20, real Democrat Zellnor Myrie (@zellnor) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Jesse Hamilton. Zellnor is an attorney who has spent countless hours helping immigrants seeking asylum and advocating for affordable housing.

In NY State Senate District 23, real Democrat Jasmine Robinson (@jasirobinson34) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Diane Savino. Jasmine is committed Progressive who does not rely on corporate donations.

In NY State Senate District 31, real Democrat Robert Jackson (@RJackson_NYC) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” Marisol Alcantrata. Robert’s resume proves that he has been fighting for the underdogs of NY for decades. He will continue to do so in the Senate.

In NY State Senate District 53, real Democrat Rachel May (@SRachelMay) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” David Valesky. Rachel has a stellar record as both an educator and an environmentalist and is precisely what Albany needs.

In NY State Senate District 17, real Democrat Blake Morris (@BlakeMorris4NYS) is vying to unseat “Democrat” Simcha Felder. Simcha isn’t technically a member of the IDC, but he still caucuses with the GOP and we need Blake to replace him!
