Today’s economic tips:

The term “printing money” is an anachronism from the gold standard era.

When ppl say “printing money” now they mean running deficits w/o issuing Govt bonds.

I.e. “printing money” does not *in itself* cause inflation.
Btw. Academics call this “overt money financing”.

Whoever uses the term “printing money” is generally seeking to generate an emotional response in others.
