The take of "we need the sociopaths in the Army who can't meld into society, they're the ones who win battles" is so absolutely sickening & wrong. Guys like Dick Winters, Joshua Chamberlain, and Sgt York kindly beg to differ with that garbage narrative.
Take that nonsense elsewhere. It's part of the "warrior" and "Spartan" vetdouchebro culture that I abhor and which is continuously invalidated by history.

Daily, I read about young men in WWI who prior to April 6, 1917 were average citizens. They enlisted or were mobilized. & many did absolutely heroic things in brutal combat. Then they came home & went back to life. Saying only sociopaths win battles is an insult to their memory.
Literally, the only reason that this narrative exists is to excuse terrible & undisciplined behavior, often focused on shaming and belittling women.
