Today, the Senate confirmed Julius Ness Richardson to be a lifetime U.S. circuit court judge

So? It's Trump's 26th confirmed circuit judge. That's a LOT.

So? It means that now, 1 out of every 7 circuit court seats is now filled by a judge nominated by Trump.

Nearly ALL of Trump's circuit court nominees were fed to him by Leonard Leo of the conservative Federalist Society. And they all have something in common: strongly anti-abortion rights, anti-LGBTQ rights and anti-voting rights. huffingtonpost.com/entry/leonard-…
This will be Trump's real legacy. These are lifetime appointments to courts that will have the final say in most federal cases relating to immigration, voting rights, abortion, the environment, etc. For all the attention on SCOTUS, it only takes a fraction of these cases.
Like him or not, Mitch McConnell has been very effective as confirming piles of Trump's judges and keeping Senate Republicans in line. It only takes one GOPer to vote with Dems to sink a nominee. Just one. It never happens.

Dems have opposed lots of Trump's judicial picks, but Thomas Farr really stands out. Black Caucus members attended his confirmation hearing to oppose him. Every Dem in Judiciary spoke out against him. A civil rights group tied him to “the worst elements of white supremacy."
Every Republican on the Judiciary Committee voted to advance Farr's nomination earlier this year. huffingtonpost.com/entry/thomas-f…

Among them: Jeff Flake, who is currently threatening to hold up all judicial nominees until the Mueller protection bill gets a vote. We'll see if that holds.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
