A reason why @Sam_Marsh101 may be right re significance of @deepa_driver's @USSbriefs: a few months ago, #USS removed valuations pre-2011 from their website. They were asked to restore them, but they didn't. Why did they remove them and not restore them?

Was @UniversitiesUK employing this idiosyncratic definition to try to shift responsibility for their contribution holiday onto the #USS trustees who authorised it? 3/
And did they feel the need to try to shift such responsibility because they realised that the records would reveal, as @deepa_driver has shown, that such a sustained contribution holiday was ill-judged and detrimental? 4/
And did #USS remove the triennial valuations before 2011 which were the focus of @deepa_driver's JEP submission, and fail to restore them when asked, because they did not welcome outside scrutiny of the actions of the trustee during this period? 5/
#USS and @UniversitiesUK may have answers to these questions which reveal the past actions of both the trustee and our employer to be justified and beyond reproach. 6/
But @deepa_driver's submission, plus my linked blog post from which her inquiries arose, raise questions which merit a thorough response which is full in its disclosures. 7/7
