Going to do something I basically never do anymore because it triggers a feeding frenzy, but I don't have my mind made up about a major topic, this time: impeachment.

A friend in the business asked me yesterday if I would support it. And I'm unsure.
I am not a lawyer, and unlike most on Twitter dot com, I don't pretend to be either. I'm not sure if what we know comes to the level of impeachment, but here's my personal regular old American perspective.
I'm still playing catch up (making another fatal mistake, admitting I may not have all of the facts currently known), but it appears the only thing protecting the POTUS from an indictment is the fact that he's the POTUS.
To me, rising to the level of impeachment has two components for the American people to be comfortable and supportive: 1) Breaking the law. (I think we're there). and 2) It's a kind of a recall mechanism. This guy (or one day, gal), did something we didn't vote for.
On that second one, I don't know how we ever get there, because we elected the worst person in America with full understanding of what he is. I always assumed he instructed his lawyer to break the law. Yesterday's news was kind of a shrug for me; confirmation of a known fact.
Part of Congress's job, is, I think, (again, not an expert in anything in this realm, so feel free to say I'm wrong - I know you needed permission) to ascertain that impeachment is what the American people want; especially those who voted for him.
And on that, the needle isn't going to move an inch. Why would it? Everyone knew who and what he was, we've always known.
I think what will end up happening is Democrats will win by a narrow margin in November based on this momentum, maybe the House, but not the Senate, and they'll bring impeachment charges because that's why they were voted in. And it will fail.
It's going to get very, very nasty. It is is what Trump will run on in 2020: Everyone is out to get me: Congress, media, etc. But I've done right by you with tax cuts, economy gains, a stronger FP. And he'll be reelected. And half the country is going to lose its mind.
Anyway, I've broken every single one of my usual Twitter rules, including making predictions about a very unpredictable future. Have a great Wednesday everyone, and remember that there's a real world out there that aren't paying attention to any of this.
