Obhrai says this is an attack on Canadian democratic values. Relates it to the rhetoric from the US president, who has labelled media the enemy of the people. Urges police to get to the bottom of who committed the assault

The MP would not comment on what he expects from the UCP, and says all questions on their reaction should be directed to them

The UCP has responded to our request for a statement. They condemn the attack, and note that Mr. Mann has not been approved by the party to run at this point. #ableg #yyc

Contacted Mr. Mann's office (and he picked up the phone). Says no comment at this time. Also, police confirmed they are investigating, and will have a release at some point in the future. #yyc #ableg
