They want to build a tunnel from Hollywood/Los Feliz to Dodger Stadium in which passengers would travel in electric skates.

There are three design concepts, but only one will be chosen.

We are assured that none of the tunnel options would run under anyone’s homes or businesses.

The trip would be about four minutes from point to point.

I drove 6.1 miles to Dodger Stadium in about 13 minutes tonight, which is twice as far as the proposed tunnel.

Obvs it’s not a game day. But.

Uhhhhh. The Boring Co. is looking into making bricks. Like, they want to create new brick-making technology to utilize the materials dug out to create the tunnel.

Btw, they announced this public meeting *this morning*.

One of the reporters said it’s required by law. I assume they’re only required to give 12 hours notice and waited until the last minute so no one from the community would actually show up.

If Elon Musk wants to help LA, he should spend his money fixing all the schools and roads he wants to tunnel under instead of creating a magic baseball train that only transports 3% of a home game crowd.

Don’t at me, Boring Co. interns.

Btw, another guy there did the math. The magic baseball train at $1 a ticket is only gonna bring in $226,000 a season.

I’m not good at math, but how are we maintaining this thing.

Also someone please explain to me how the safest place to be in an earthquake is a tunnel.

I seriously can’t get over the fact that they stood there and, with a straight face, said the magical baseball train would alleviate traffic by transporting 1,400 people per game to a stadium that holds...56,000.

The meeting lasted less than 40 minutes. I was home by 7:20 pm.

As my 11-year-old nephew pointed out: “This looks really cool and I like that it goes super fast, but it’s kind of weird that you can only use it to get to Dodger Stadium. What if you want to go somewhere other than baseball.”
