I was digging around in the lobbying database and I found some interesting stuff on Nord Stream 2.
AKA GAZPROM DOES GERMANY.
Shall we take a peek at what I found?
A WHOLE LOTTA SHILLS
$1.87M for Roberti Global
Looks like Roberti Global paid $340K to SMW Partners, LLC
$320K for Hawksbill Group LLC
$150K for Capitol Counsel LLC
So- why does this matter?
This is why:
GAZPROM = 38% owned by Russian Federation.
Hawksbill registered themselves as lobbyists- LOBBYING ABOUT SANCTIONS..
yet they do not appear in the FARA database representing GAZPROM.
And- they can't claim they "don't know how to FARA"
The last screenshot is from the FARA database.
Roberti regsitered themselves as lobbyists- LOBBYING ABOUT SANCTIONS.
And THEY aren't in the FARA database with this client either.
And they can't claim the "don't know how to FARA" because they HAVE IN THE PAST.
SMW does not & has never appeared in the FARA database.
But Mr. John Sweeney is a former member of Congress. so....he should know how to FARA.

Friendly reminder that I'm not a lawyer or legal expert- I'm a finance nerd at heart & by training- but I do spend a lot of time digging around in FARA-land.

It's amazing to me how much pushback I'm getting on this. So here's my response:
If you care more about having been RIGHT in 2016 & holding others' mistakes over them, than about having more Americans fighting corruption alongside you, you aren't focusing on doing THE RIGHT

Interesting stuff.... this JAWS camp. I scrounged around their hashtag. And I found some compelling tweets worth pointing out.

It's a early conference that started back in the 80s.

Gerhard Schröder is on the board of Rosneft. He was appointed in August 2017.

Not only that, but in 2005, Schröder joined Gazprom's Nord Stream project.
"Mr. Schröder signed the controversial pipeline deal for a $6bn gas link between Germany and Russia under the Baltic Sea with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, just two weeks before leaving office."

Then he joined Gazprom shortly after.

There's nothing US right-wingers love more than attacks on Europe, because, to them, European "Multiculturalism" has destroyed a mythological, ethnically homogeneous "motherland" white US citizens know little or nothing about, yet claim as their own. So, a Love-Hate relationship.
US right-wingers also hate Europe because it has universal healthcare, paid maternal leave, paid vacations, free universities together with higher quality of life & free-market economy. Europe a huge billboard telling the US that claims about the evils of the state are bullshit.
US citizens constantly told free-market is only solution to any problem, yet Europe a reminder that there are things that the market will not or cannot do. That drives free-market zealots -- who then desperately throw "socialism" around with no understanding of the word -- nuts.
