@gtbank , On the 16th March 2015, over two hundred thousand naira from my association's account domiciled in your bank was transferred to the CBN as a result of the new TSA policy

The information came via a debit alert on the same date.
Our principal officers made several trips to your branch in Calabar but the response was one of ignorance from your staff including the branch manager

On 18th June, 2015 we sent the first formal letter of complaint to @gtbank , Calabar branch. No reaponse
On 13th November 2015, we sent a reminder along with a letter of clarification from our MDA stating that our account was a private one.

Still, no response.
On 1st March 2016, we sent a 3rd and final reminder with a subtle threat of litigation.

@gtbank remained adamant.

While this was going on, we reached out to @cenbank HQ via email

The @cenbank acknowledged receipt of our mail and proceeded to investigate the matter while keeping in touch with us.

Fast forward to November 2016.
We received a letter via courier from @cenbank informing us of the outcome of their investigations.
They also gave an assurance that the matter was being resolved through their Banking and Payments System Department (BPSD)

Still we persevered.
Fast forward to July 2017, we were informed that following conclusion of investigations, an authorization for refund of our money has to come from the Fund Office, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation

Again, we wrote to the Head, Fund Office, OAGF Garki2 Abuja sent it via @NIPOSTNIG EMS.
This letter was returned to us through the same channel because we addressed it to THE HEAD and not to THE DIRECTOR of the Fund Office.

We made the necessary correction, and paid a second time through @NIPOSTNIG EMS service on 14th July 2017.
This time, it wasn't returned so we concluded it had been received.

From that time TILL DATE, there has been NO further communication from any quarters. It is more than one year ago

The @cenbank has not heard from the special DIRECTOR in the Fund Office of the OAGF.

Still, we wait......

For the avoidance of doubt, this money is contributed by members of the association monthly, for the payment of dues, and other welfare matters.

I want all well meaning Nigerians to help us calculate the man hours and finances that have been lost writing letters and reminders for an error that was committed by @gtbank

Copies of all the correspondences mentioned above are neatly filed and kept, awaiting the day our money is refunded.

It has not been easy following this up. members have suggested we stop wasting our money chasing the refund

But some of us are adamant that this money must be refunded in full and @gtbank MUST pay for their NEGLIGENCE.

Still, WE WAIT.........
