If you had told me a plot point of a movie was the villain attempting to ruin the career of an elected official by showing a video of them quite capably recreating the dance from “The Breakfast Club” in college, I’d have assumed it was some really bad Disney Channel flick.
Like... a kids movie where the villain is written like a 2x4 plank to the head in crayola.
The end of the movie is a big musical number and features Ally Sheedy—whom the producers have ironically cast as the villain in a wink to adult viewers—experiencing a redemption arc and leading the cast in a group dance.

I can honestly say this has been the most productive year of my life, by far, and I'm really proud of that. I wrote a *lot* of things, but here are three things I wrote for which I'm most proud. (very short thread)
In April, I had this exchange with some transphobic religious folks, and the moment became something that has meant a lot to me.

In August, I got upset over a lot of the ageism I've seen seeing toward older folks, so I wrote this.
