I want to talk about Narrative Control today.
And mainstream media organizations' complicity in allowing bad actors to control the narrative.
(Please remember I'm a former finance professional and now a housewife and I don't have formal training in these things. I'm not an expert-I just have a weird talent & can see how Narrative Control works in real time.)
Let's start small: with Mark Zuckerberg's credibility.
9/5/18: Senators grilled Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg & Twitter's Jack Dorsey on their platforms' misprision of abuse of Democracy.
One night before, the @washingtonpost chose to release an Op-Ed:
Propaganda from Zuckerberg.
More Narrative Control:
seeding Alex Jones into the audience at the hearing.
Who writes about it? @washingtonpost.
washingtonpost.com/technology/201…
You know what we SHOULD be talking about, instead of Zuckerberg's idiotic Op-Ed and Alex Jones' stupid existence?
We SHOULD be talking about this.
Because it's a Big Fucking Deal.

You know what we should be talking about with regards to the social media hearing?
This: www2.philly.com/philly/busines…
Here's another Narrative Control attempt (a successful one) from yesterday:
DURING THE KAVANAUGH HEARINGS, the @nytimes released an ANONYMOUS op-ed by someone claiming to work in the Administration.
VERY
IMPORTANT
THINGS
were happening in the Kavanaugh hearings. And thus,
Palace Intrigue Provokatsiya was released at the perfect time.
Now everyone (even smart people-my dad texted me about it this morning!) is distracted by wondering "who wrote the Op-Ed" when what we SHOULD be talking about is what happened in the Kavanaugh hearing yesterday.
Those are just 2 examples of mainstream media's complicity in Narrative Control by bad actors.
From YESTERDAY.
We need trustworthy voices in our media to tell us what actually matters, and guide us away from the distractions.
Now more than ever, we need Media Literacy education.
