Kavanaugh should be disqualified for lying to the Congress (a demonstrable fact), the fact that he was involved in deliberations on torture, his extremist views on abortion or immigration, the fact he was chosen to protect a criminal president,..
the lack of transparency in his approval process, the allegations of sexual misconduct, the even more damning fact that GOP knew that allegation was coming and were prepared with a ridiculous response, his obviously flawed reasoning, his dissembling to Congress this time around.
He is clearly not up to the job. The process was clearly profoundly flawed. His sponsors know he cannot stand up to scrutiny. There's a decent shot he will be impeached after he is confirmed. And yet...not one single Republican is troubled by any of this.
Where do they store their consciences when they are not using them? They have sold their souls to protect a narrow judicial agenda at the cost of the integrity of the Congress and our highest court. How do they get away with it? There's only one answer: Voters let them.
If this process outrages you, vote out the people who are responsible for it. Vote in people who care about the rule of law in the United States. Vote in people who do not think the country should be run by what is being revealed to be a criminal enterprise, a gang of thugs.
Hate the Kavanaugh process? The corruption? It's on you.Only you can make a difference. (And I'm speaking specifically to you, millennials, who now make up the largest voting bloc in the US and who have really pretty weak record of showing up to vote. It's over to you. Step up.)
