Gee, maybe instead of rolling around on unicycles and tooting on kazoos during the confirmation hearings, Dems should have brought up the ultra-serious 35-year-old assault allegation against Kavanaugh that was tucked in their back pockets.
Does the timing on this trouble Democrat supporters at all? Your party spent months before the hearing testing out bizarre and utterly limp lines of attack against Kavanaugh with the help of their media pals: he drinks beer, he buys expensive tickets to sports.
During the run-up to the confirmation hearing, the Dems big play was to demand an absurd amount of documents about Kavanaugh, in the vague hope of setting a standard for documentation that could not possibly be met.
The Dems didn't even pretend to read the mountain of documents that was provided. They just kept demanding more and more, vainly hoping to run out the clock. And yet, all the while, they knew about this supposedly career-ending sexual assault allegation and said NOTHING.
For all the caterwauling about taking this super-serious allegation seriously, it's the Dems who clearly did NOT take it seriously, They prioritized their political games over this allegation and saved it for the last possible moment. THEY clearly think it's a cheap shot. /end.
