President Trump's point about the elites living in walled estates but denying Americans a security barrier on the border is one of those knockout punches the Left has no answer to, because their ideology demands many special privileges for the elite.
In a similar vein, THEY deserved armed security, but YOU should not be allowed to defend your family with a firearm. THEY get to fly carbon-spewing jets to global warming conferences, but YOU are killing the planet by refusing to buy an electric car.
Beneath all the socialist blather about inequality and privilege lies a hardcore elitist system where deserving political and media royalty lives one way, and the Little People live another.
The victims of socialism are taught to venerate their leaders as morally and intellectually superior beings who richly deserve these special privileges. It's why cults of personality are so common on the Left. They'll offer their organs to keep leftist demigods alive.
Leftists see exemptions from the rules and standards they impose upon others as the ultimate status symbol. The altitude at which you float above the rules is a measure of your power and specialness. Exemptions are sold to supporters for cash and influence.
Thus we have millionaire politicians with gigantic carbon footprints living in walled estates where intruders will be shot telling average Americans they must be disarmed, vulnerable, and accept a lower standard of living to save the Earth and demonstrate inclusiveness. /end
